A collection of Gift Posters (2022 backlog)

Last Christmas, I wasn't exactly rolling in money on account of dropping out of work to focus on college for a year, but I absolutely hate to not give gifts to my family. So, similar to last year's last-second poster (https://www.artstation.com/artwork/Gez3y1), I opted to draw each of my family members a poster for a piece of media they loved. It was an absolute blast to put them together, especially since none of them knew what they were getting!

Lord of the Rings belongs to the Tolkien Estate
Last Podcast on the Left belongs to Last Podcast on the Left
Splatoon belongs to Nintendo
Outlander belongs to Diana Gabaldon
Red Dead Redemption 2 belongs to Rockstar

My brother is a huge fan of Lord of the Rings, and I knew what I wanted to do for it straight away, with a force-perspective hand and the Eye of Sauron gazing from within the One Ring.

My sister is a huge fan of the podcast Last Podcast on the Left, and a recurring concept I encountered while researching it was the smoking skull. I figured I simply had to adapt that into a poster.

My youngest sibling is a HUGE Splatoon fan, so I wanted to do a fun, dynamic, and colorful image with an Inkling and an Octoling.

My mom is a big fan of the Outlander series of books, so I decided to look to the show for inspiration, with protagonist Claire looking between the standing stones from outside the world of the past.

My dad absolutely loves Red Dead Redemption and Red Dead Redemption 2. I felt a high contrast, black-on-red silhouette was the best way to truly embrace the franchise. Plus horse silhouettes are way easier to draw than full-detailed horses!
