3D Animation 2 Collection

I'm wrapping up my 3D Animation 2 class today and wanted to post my works from the class. I had a lot of fun and learned a lot, and it's really nice to finally have some good quality work showcasing my skills that isn't just a ball with legs.

In order of appearance:
Horse rig provided by Carlos Contreras.
Jin rig provided by Animation Buffet.
NC-11 Male rig provided by Arthurnal.
Malcolm rig provided by AnimSchool. Audio from The Huster (1961).
Mewtwo rig provided by Agora. Mewtwo belongs to the Pokemon Company.
Sonic rig provided by TheBlueBlurYT. Sonic belongs to SEGA.

Animated in Autodesk Maya with the student license.

Our first big assignment was a horse walk cycle. It's important to know how to animate things other than bipeds, after all!

Our second was a walk cycle, but with personality. I decided to challenge myself by making Jin here walk backwards instead of forwards, egging on an unseen foe.

Our third project was one focused on using reference and mastering body mechanics. Lots of subtle details went into making this one feel nice.

[CC: Well you shoot big time pool, Fats, at least that's what everybody says, you shoot big time pool.]
Our fourth was dedicated to lip sync and character acting. I ended up working with audio from The Hustler (1961) for mine.

For our final we had to make two animations, whatever we wanted. I decided to ask the question "What if Mewtwo had three swords?" and answered it with telekinetic sword swinging.

[CC: It was... never about chivalry for me... I just gotta do what I've gotta do, that's all!] The second "whatever we want" animation I went with was my own take on an iconic line from Sonic and the Black Knight.
